Yes the picture I posted was taken back last July, I have taken some new ones that I will post when I get the chance (ref: Xenesthis sp. "white")...
I have seven specimens left and almost all of them do not have any "orange-yellow" on th elegs anymore... mostly dark grey as we speak...

i like immanis better than intermedia. the immanis is much more blue. my intermedia is kinda bland as far as leg colour goes. it's carapace is magnificant though! it's in a premolt right now, but still very impressive looking!! hmm when it molts i'm gonna have to sex it. i didn't even think about doing it until now...

LOL BOB,after seeing those pics, that is exactly what I was thinking.
This species brings up bad memories. A few years ago I bought one from the old now out of buisness "Arachnocanter" in LA. It was the pride of my collection. It died after about two weeks just standing over the water dish the whole time. I am sure it was dehydrated before I bought it. Anyway he went belly up soon after. I lost the Pamphobeteus SP. Equador too from the same shipment.

Hi Prizz!
I do have a female, however it is his sister and she just isnt big enough to breed yet :( He matured out a lot smaller than I thought he would!! around 6-7" I'd say. As for the blue sheen, I didnt notice it on my male until he matured!! I just havent kept enough specimens of this species to be able to say if they are sexually dimorphic in that respect.
Good luck with your breeding :D

Hi Andrew!
Thx for replying... 7" would be then about 17-18 cm... that's also smaller then I've thought. Then my male has maybe 1-2 moults left to be an adult, handsome guy. :D He has now a legspann of ~14 cm.

This is the same male as in my previous post #124. He's at least 6" now and hopefully mature at his next molt.
I've been looking at him a bit more and this pic does'nt do him justice.

Hi
When the sp. is not desript you must write sp. because in the hobby is a lots of fantastic names for good busines. It s not the big broblem, but its good when it is useing. ex: P. sp. tigris, xygenus sp. somewhere...

I know immanis start to get the carapace coloration at about 2.5" - 3". I'm guessing X. sp. "white" is going to be similar in size if not identical before carapace coloration is present.
Just a guess because every individual is different and suprises do happen. I hope this sheds some light on this question :D .

Can anyone tell me a bit about their temperaments, and give me a point of comparison? E.g., are they as docile as a B.albo or pyschotic as an H.lividum?
Would love to know as I adore colourful Ts but am still quite new to the hobby and haven't progressed further than Avics in terms of attitude (or lack of!)

Tom,
Female #2
This one really wanted to mate, she started drumming in about 2 minutes. I am a bit concerned about the male, I did not see any sperm at the tip of his bulb after copulation (did not get a chance to see the female). Anyhow, he might still be good to go, but I wonder.
Nervetheless, i will keep trying. Female #3 left to go and then I start over with them.
