i purchased a baby '11 bumblebee ball python and i had my sister take care of it for a short while. she neglected to keep the lid closed and the snake got out and we found it a few days later. but it seems to have MULTIPLE broken ribs. one whole side is caved in and i can feel it. its broken. and close to the neck area too.

im going to try to find a vet to take a look at it, but just wondering, does anyone know how well hes off at surviving? and anyone have experience with treating the broken ribs? he is still moving around and flicking his tongue. and i just gave him water which he drank thirstily. i think i will feed it pinkie or small fuzzie mice so that i dont stretch out its broken ribs too much... :( i am so sad.

Snakes can do just fine after breaking a few ribs, I know people that have snakes that have been run over by cars and other vehicles, and are still kicking good and healthy 5 years later!
