I was thinking about my G. rosea the other day after my G. pulchripes molted. It took 7 years for my G. pulchripes to reach 6". If my rosea had grown at a similar rate and was caught right at young adulthood that would have put ner at 7 years. Then if she was sold to a pet store not long after being caught and was at that LPS for one year (i worked there when she came in and she was already 5.5" and took her home a year later) that would put her at 8 years old. That was in 2003, so I have had her for 8 years. So at her YOUNGEST I would have a 16 year old tarantula. Plus, in all likelihood the above scenerio is not what happened and she is considerably older. It feels pretty neat to own a tarantula that old. Anyone else out there own geriatric T's?
