Yes, another one of those threads... I am thinking of getting a terrestrial tarantula that gets quite large and is beautiful. It can be colorful, or just a nice shade of black really. Also would like it to enjoy higher humidity so I give it a nice 10 gallon planted home :)

P.S.
I already have a geniculata and I love her :)

L. parahybana would be great. They don't require high humidity, but they get to be 10in sometimes!

Xenesthis immanis

It's black and colorful. In my opinion its one of the most beutiful tarantulas in the hobby, and it reaches around 9in.
Swift's tarantulas has one for $115 at 1.5"
ken the bug guy has one for $80 at 1.25"

Phamphobetus species would fit that bill. Large terrestrial, cheaper than an Xenesthis, hardy, and fairly handleable. Not all in this genus are lavishly colored though.

Well I think I am going to wait for someone to trade my female Aphonopelma bicoloratum for a small breeding par of X. intermedia. I have all the time in the world to watch them grow up, and I absolutely LOVE the colors!
