my G. pulchripes molted this morning, it is well over 6" now. the only bad thing is that it has hooks now. so how much time do i have before my male dies?
ive heard that males can live around a year or so after ultimate molt... there is3 types of molts... pen ultimate, ultimate, then the "post ultimate" however most ts dont make it to see the last one mentioned?? youre best off finding a mate for him or doing a trade/breeding loan, however if youre especially fond of him he can last a while
My opinion: If your not familiar with breeding, I would suggest you not mess with it, unless you really think you can handle it. Otherwise, like mentioned above, you can loan him out and get new slings out of it. Many sellers/breeders will be happy to help you out and treat you right. The risk is in shipping and that the female might eat your little buddy. At least he would die happy.
