No. It's a species that requires accurate housing and are very fragile even though they are huge. Actually, the bigger it is, the more fragile it'll be. Good big beginner species would be Lasiodora parahybana or Acanthoscurria geniculata.

+1 on the L.parahybana. They get big, and seem to be a little easier to take care of. I love my Lp, and I also want a T.blondi, but between to 2, I'd say Lp is more of a beginner than T.blondi.

LP also looks better than the feces brown color of the blondi. They're cool, but ugly IMO. LP has nice color and gets the same size. The difference is negligible

LP get IMmense wild specimens max at 11" captive bread.. more like 10-10.5" wild diet is king

That's almost a foot long sandwich, and you can get those at subway btw... But I do prefer baked bread to be honest. :)

Also, I forgot to mention Avicularia metallica or Avicularia braunshauseni as fairly large arboreal beginner T's.
