I have a small colony of B.Dubia which have been maturing over the past month or so. One of my mature females has a weird... "thing" sticking out of her rear... its red has little bumps on it... I dont know how to describe it. I thought they were live bearers? Which is why I am concerned this may be a parasite or something... thanks for any info.

Its normal. I don't recall why they do it but they extend the ootheca and pull it back inside at some point during development.

right on. So should I seperate the nymphs when they are born? I know that they arent canabilistic. But I was just wondering if there was something I should do with them special or if I just rear them in there with the adults as normal.
