This is my newest addition to my collection an African red Trapdoor spider.

It's very ugly and crab like. And very aggressive for a little spider not to mention apparently has a very strong nasty venom.

they really really freak me out! I like FUZZY spiders, the shiny naked ones are creepy :)
We have native spiders here that look alot like that...they are some sort of Pacific Northwest species. I kept one for about a month, but never saw her eat, and finally let her go in our rhodedendron plant.

They do look creepy almost look slimey when the light shines on it.
