yep, they are in culture and regularely bred. See www.terraristik.com (http://www.terraristik.com/tb/list_classifieds.php?category_selection=8), from time to time they are offered there.
all the best,
Martin
PS.: If you can read german, there is an interesting article about Cupiennius salei and Co.: LAPINSKI, W. (2003): Die Jagdspinnen der Gattung Cupiennius SIMON, 1891. DeArGe Mitteilungen (http://www.dearge.de/arachne_en.shtml) 8(6): 9-30.

I have three subadult specimens. At least one of them are female and I will start breeding them as soon as they are mature. Send me a PM and I will contact you when the time is ready..:)

Hey! Yes I still have them, I have three adult/subadult females. I'm looking for a male now, but haven't found any..yet.
Don't know much about how potent their venom is, all I know is that roaches die quite fast. I read an article in a swedish science magazine that was about spiders poison. They mentioned C salei and the structure of the poison, how they used it, but not a word about how effective it might be.
Cheers
Martin

Hey, how are you keeping them? I might buy some, as I've seen someone selling 10 first instars for 12Euro.
