Thanks.
I have a Nikon Coolpix 5700. I think that any model in the Coolpix line is great....especially for macro work. You've got a lot of nice shots on your website too :)

Its actually not my website it belongs to a friend but some of the shots belong to me thats why i have it in my signature,I might invest in a decent camara, whats the price range on them, also are they your own specimens that you,ve taken pictures of,Im not big on widow spiders but i have seen some lovely shots of them from time to time, you should try creating your own widow picture site as those are top notch pictures! ;)

Cheers

I actually have a site, www.arachnimania.com I am still working on it but have a look in the gallery. There are some tarantula shots in there as well.
The camera was fairly expensive 750.00 but Nikon was offering a 150.00 rebate so that helped. What I found out later though is that most of the Coolpix cameras allowed for close-up shots and some were hundreds cheaper. The only difference in the one we have is the 5.0 megapixels versus 2.0 in the other ones. Of course since I don't plan on blowing the pictures up beyond 8x10, we really didn't need a 5.0

I forgot to ask.........where in Ireland are you? My wife and I had talked about moving out there someday. It looks like a very beautiful place. We were looking at some houses right on one of your coastlines. I was surprised out how well priced they were.
