I was feeding my invertebrates today and I noticed that the female vinegaroon that I posted about a while ago has a large sack of eggs attatched to her underside! I see at least 20 white eggs inside a clear membrane that she has recently laid. My question is, what do I do now??? I have not been able to find breeding instructions for vinegaroons anywhere. How do I care for her and her eggs? When do I feed her, how much humidity, etc.....I am keeping her in a plastic shoebox with whole sphagnum moss as a main substrate, with a patch of some silica sand for variety.I have been misting half of her enclosure for humidity variation, and she seems to enjoy it. She last ate about a week ago.Her enclosure tends to stay mostly in the shade all day so it never receives harsh light, and my room temperature is approximately 78-80 degrees during the day no lower that 72-74 at night. Her and her mate(kept in different shoeboxes) have been doing very well in this setup, but I want to know specific care for her now that she has eggs. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

can't give you any advice (cause i can't find vinegaroons anywhere here in Europe!!!)
can only say CONGRATZ!!!!!
pictures ???
Don't touch her, move her, or look at her funny. Seriously, they've been known to destroy their eggs at the slightest disturbance, although this might be more prevalant with infertile eggs. It might not be a bad idea to cover the cage with a piece of dark cloth to block out as much light as possible. In the wild, they seal themselves into a burrow during this time. It should be humid it there, but you don't want to be disturbing her with daily mistings. It would probably be best to moisten the substrate once and from that point forward rely on limiting the ventilation to keep the humidity up. I would not feed her.
Resist the urge to peek at her daily. Limit it to once every couple of weeks. Since I've never gotten one past this stage, I can't advise you on a time frame. When the eggs hatch, they will climb on moms' back, scorpion-style.
Good luck!

What about grapping the sack and rearing it in an incubator?? Like a T' sack?

gongyles: I would love to post pictures, but I am afraid that she will panic and ruin her eggs. Thanks for the congrats, I am very excited that she laid the eggs!
Wade: I was hoping that you would be able to give me some advice! I will moisten her substrate and cover her tank today. I appreciate your help.
genious_gr: I have no idea if you can pull the eggsack, but since it is attatched to her underside I would have one angry vinegaroon to deal with and I do not necessarily want that! I will just leave it with her and hope for the best.
I will keep everyone posted on her progress.

They climb onto the mothers back after hatching and stay there at least until the first molt. I doubt they'd be able to get through that first molt elsewhere. After hatching, development is more scorpion-like than spider-like. As with MOST scorpions, it's probably best to split them after dispersal.
