Found this guy in my garage (pix)

I believe its Lycosa sp. (if its not dont slam me im just learning). It was a bit larger than 4 inches from leg to leg, and extremely fast. Found it in my garage, snapped a few pix and sent him on his way!

I didn't think Lycosas could get that big...

Although I wouldn't know anymore than the next guy. I'm still learning about true spiders as well. Aren't we all? ;)

Regardless, it's an awesome looking spider.

Ironically, this is exactly how I became interested in tarantulas in the first place. "I found one in my garage". From a distance I thought it was a "T".

Most US Lycosa have been moved into Hogna. Sounds big enough to be H. carolinensis, but I'm not sure if it is.
