Cute little critter. Less than an inch long. That's a pinhead in his chelicerae.

Does it run 25 mph, scream and eat camel stomachs? {D Kidding, of course.

I really want to get a Solifugid as well, but their short life span is a turn off for me.

LOL Well, if it screams, it does it above my aural range, and I haven't been to the camel market lately, so pinheads is all it gets. It does run at some speed probably not too far from 25mph though, or at least it sure looks like it.

I traded a baby emporer scorpion for it. I have enough scorpions (100s), so I didn't mind that I was getting something that won't last a year. I love solifugids, so it was worth it to me. And it's a young one, so it sould last awhile. Plus, I got to introduce a newbie to scorps, which was fun too. This thing may eat me out of house and home though. It goes through pinheads like M&Ms.

Hi Eurypterid I'm glad to see the Solifugid doing so well. :) Love the pic you took of it. The Emp you gave me is doing great. It sure is nice and plump, not to big though (Maybe it will molt soon?). It now eats the "headless" crickets I give it everytime. :) I would take a picture but it wouldn't be worth it since my camera doesn't do micro type pics and it would be blurry.

Any more available that young?

They are very common in this area, the one I traded was wild caught. If you want I can keep my eyes out and find one for you. Dunno how long it will take, but I should eventually run across one. I eventually want to breed them. Need to collect more specimens though :P.
