Beautiful tarantula.

Has the genus changed on these guys?
I believe it's Plesiophrictus, not Chilobrachys...
But nonetheless, georgeous specimen.

hmm, don't think i've seen one of those before.....is that an old world species?

it's an old world species. to be exact, it comes from china. it is increasingly more popular now and as far as i know some dealers like goldenphoenixexotica have them.

The current valid genus name is Plesiophrictus, though I wouldn't be surprised to see this change in the future.

I have some that have all moulted twice and eat like horses - they think nothing of devouring a mealworm over twice their size!
