I'd like to watch my A. Versi spin but she stops whatever she's doing when I appear :( I've heared that they can't see red light but I'm not buying that so easily. I put a red plastic thing over my flashlight and I think it still disturbs her. Is there any better way? I wouldn't like to buy night vision goggles ;)

How to best observe Ts? Well, I like the apochromatic refracting scope, with a 45 degree erecting prism. 70mm aperture ought to be plenty. A short focal length will give you a better apparant field of view. Any magnification greater than 25x is probably overkill. ;)

You meant in at home... in an enclosurre, right? :)

Maybe you're making too much noise when you approach?

i dunno...my A. seemani hunts a lot differently when i feed it in the dark with a red light than when i do with the lights on. Slowly stalks the crickets...creeping forward a bit at a time...in the regular light it just stays in it's hide (cup) til one comes close enough and grabs it. So i'm inclined to believe they can't see the red light. I have mine in a lamp indirectly overhead...
