I didnt think they got much more blue(r) than this,I have never kept any Aphonopelma spp. Would the crinirufum get as much blue as Cromatopelma cyaneopubescens

It's a tropical species and from what I've heard and read they are found in the area around Costa rica.

OMG my slings should become blueish!
Have to get rid of those immediately.
Too bad they grow so slow. :) Would be nice to see a bit their color before i get rid of them LOL Or then they are not even crinis...
Nice pics anyway.

I remember when swifty had these. Costa Rican Blue Fronts is what he sold them as. Nice looking spiders!

Did you provoke her to get into a threat display or are they that aggro? What other little idiosyncrasies that are different from your typical Aphonopelma ?

Very nice. Is that spider asking for a hug or did you make it mad?

At the moment they are subadult and are male and female. I guess both will be mature after the next molt. Then it's mating time..:) after that my male will fly to denmark and make sweet love to a danish lady..:)
They are a very defensive species. The fastest and most "aggresive" Aphonopelma sp. I've delt with.

They dont realy get much more blue than that one in the pic. They only get a powder blue colour and not the kind of metalic blue seen in Ephebopus cyanognathus.
Very nice spiders all the same :)
