Heads Up: Venom ER

For those of you members that have the Animal Planet channel, on tonight's episode of Venom ER (check local listings). A child is bitten on the foot by a Black Widow while putting on a shoe and rushed into the ER by his mother. Dr. Busch discusses the courses of treatment with her and other information about such bites. Viewers on the West Coast, it will probably be on at 9:00pm tonight. Don't miss it. I am posting during the early evening telecast right now but don't fret will be recast tonight again. Hope the incident doesn't raise poor publicity for the Black Widow but Dr. Busch is a very responsible professional.

thanks for the heads up, I missed it tonight but according to the Animal Planet website, it's on again Sunday (the same episode) at 7:00 pm which I'm pretty sure is East Coast time, so it should be on at 4:00 pm on the West Coast. It's a good show. :)

I really like his approach to things. He never paints anything in a bad light. It is always very factual with him which is exactly what people need to see and hear.

This was one of the best episodes ever, the Latrodectus envenomation is covered in nearly 45 minutes of the program, with a short clip of a mountain biker visiting the High Desert coming into the ER because of an accident on the hills involving a snake sighting and felt he may have been bit. And an even smaller clip of Dr. Busch taking med students out to the desert with black lights and searching for scorpions, and speaks shortly on the C.exilicauda/sculpteratus and concerns about an antivenom. The man is a genius and so compassionate about his profession by saving many, many lives and educating all that cross his path about the venomous creatures that live around us. There is plenty of information to digest from the episode. Don't miss it guys!!!
