Hi to everyone in this forum...
does anyone have a care sheet for Orange Striped Birdeater...
as i know this species is harder to take care of than other species...
can anyone help me here... my friend gave me his Orange Striped...
so it's kinda like i don't want it to suffer while it's with me....

Do you know what the scientific name is?? Be better to know to make sure we can get you the right care sheet :)

Peruvian Orange Striped...

Paraphysa sp. They are terrestial but can climb like a squirrel. :D

Ok...

i'm not very sure of the scientific name...
but he told me it's orange striped birdeater...
looks exactly like Greggs Wolfe's attached picture...
only with more abvious stripes... i'll post the picture as soon
as i snap a few pictures... thanks.... :D

Lasiodorides striatus often goes by "Orange striped birdeater." There's also Acanthoscurria juruenicola, which goes by Brazilian orange banded.

Peruvian Orange Striped

Yeah, I really like those. They were a dime a dozen back in '97,'98,'99 and then they vanished. I haven't seen those on the market for a while. I tried breeding mine several times but the female (the one I posted) ate the males within an hour.
I never did find out the full latin, only Paraphysa sp.

Thanks! Yeah, 4" female, I bought her June 20th during a trip to Chicago land. I'd wanted one forever!

I got your care sheet. For a large number of T's a semi ventilated cage with damp substrate and a large water dish and hide will do just fine. If it seems to seek out water, restrict the ventilation....If not let the substrate dry and and keep the dish fresh and full-------

cool ! ur friend gave it to u ?? wow.. by the way do u kow anywhere else i can get tarantulas huh ? besides by the 1 in perling.........

theres a pet shop there that sell T's....
