Male G. grossa Question

He matured in late Nov.'03. I tried to find a female, none avail. in the Midwest.
He has a good appetite, for a Grammostola.
I noticed him making a sperm web, late morning today. A couple of hrs later, he tore it down.
Is he still breedable or just instinctive?
And could he have a slightly longer life-span, being this genus?
Any clues?

If he is making a sperm web then he should still be good to go...as for his life span that is different with each individual...

Regards, Mike

Thanks, Mike. I'll continue searching for a mate.
My ? re: longevity was because G. rosea males have been known to live longer than others, after mature molt. One of mine lived 19 mos, only to pass during post-mature molt.
I guess I'm hoping that it's a Grammostola thing...

Hmm... just like a fluffy pulchra. May I ask the sizes of the boy and girl?

Male is deep, dark, chocolate brown, with a heart-shaped mirror patch(named him Valentine) 5 1/2", very leggy & yes, he's fluffy. ;)

G. Grossa love story...

I am hoping to breed her. The male in Wisconsin might have another "stud service" to perform. Am waiting to hear back.
MizM, you would like first dibs on slings? K, I'll jot that down for 5. :D
I am going to clean her cage today so her "date" won't think she's a slob, she likes to fill in her water dish for some reason.
