This time of year I get recluses in the basement. Recently we were doing some remodeling and I captured a nice recluse holding an egg sac. Id like to see if I can keep her in an enclosure and allow them to hatch.... just to observe. Do any of you have suggestions about this or have any of you done this before?

Hello fellow Missourian,
You can keep these spiders in about anything. Provide a small hide and your all set. Just don't turn it loose in your bed room
Let us know what happens.

LOL! Dont have to worry about me providing a means of escape.. tarantulas dont bother me, but these lil suckers do!
Thanks!
A deli cup with snap on top with small holes is a safe way to keep them.

Thats what I was thinkin... but how small of holes... I mean it sounds stupid, but just how tiny are recluse s'lings?! LOL!
I don't really know how small the babies are, but make the holes with a thin needle.
