Freshly molted Trapdoor

I was able to catch this one out after a fresh molt. Gorgyrella sp., African Tri-colored Trapdoor spider.

Yep, usually right at the bottom an enlarged chamber.

Ooooo, that's a beauty. Are those highly venomous like the Atrax sp. and such? They kinda look alike.

Too bad I never thought to take a pix of my wifes fresh molted red trap door and black trap door.. both of them were white.. for days..lol

no there not venomous, but they do pack a bledy painful bite so try not to get bit {D
