Hi!

Anyone know a good setup for Heteropoda venatoria?

I was told that a 5 liter (1.32 gallons) would be enough for one adult of this species. I have a hard time to find a suitable glasjar.

If anyone can share their experience with this species and setup it would be very helpfull.

I've kept them in 1 gallon plastic jars, but just about any container will do. I currently have a pair living in resturant food storage container that may be around 3 gallons.

I like to give them several slabs over vertically-alligned cork bark for them to cling to and hind between. They usually molt while hanging upside down, so a decent amout of height is good. Water may be offered in a small dish, or else the substrate could be slightly moistend periodically.

They don't seem to do as well in very dank, poorly ventilated containers, so those conditions should be avoided. My containers all have screend ventilation ports either in the lid or on the sides.
