Need Help with ID

I need help identifying this spider - and anything you can tell me about taking care of it would be a big help. I'm new at this and I can use all the help I can get. Thanks.

It's a salticid (jumping spider). Maybe a Phidippus sp.? Can't really tell by the coloration in your photo. What state was it caught in (assuming you're from the US)? Here are a couple pretty good links.

Probably a Phidippus species.
