Tooting my own horn here, just got this officially published:

download the pdf version for a much better look at the photos from the generous contributors of John Bellini (Kugellager) & Jason Diltz (latrodectusfan)

A very good article (and good photos), there is a lot of misunderstandings and myths about those interesting spiders (especially on the net...). More reliable sources like this one is definitely needed.
BTW do you know where I can find a key to the north american species?

Congrats, Code Monkey, it looks great. I'll give it a more thorough reading tonight when I'm not on the clock.
Very Cool  :worship:

Great work. I wondered what the status was of your work. Your's is so much better than the previous one.
Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks a lot! It's great! (Although I did have a silly picture in my mind of some scared person vacuuming up widow, web, egg sacs, and throwing the vacuum bag straight outside the door, willy-nilly into the bushes, as opposed to into an outside trash receptacle!)

That little turn of the English language was the PhD's contribution ;) - she added that after I was done writing the main paper. However, since she's got the doctorate and I'm the grunt, we get odd wording :)

Yeah, well it may give some spiders one last chance, I suppose! That would be fine with me.
