I have had this lil' sling since September and it finally molted for the first time. I figure at the rate it is growing I will be retired by the time it is an adult.

I completely agree. My 1.5 molted yesterday. Now it is 1 and 3/4. She is also 2 years old. Glad I got her while I am 25.... :D

I've had my B. boehmei since April. He arrived as a speck and has molted 5 times in my care. He is about 1.5" now and I am anticipating another molt in the very near future. :)

Yeah, at that rate you should probably get it an African Grey Parrot so it'll have a companion when you die. :)
Beautiful spider!

Hurrah. My boehmi also molted yesterday. It is no longer around the 1.5 inch mark and has approached 2 inches. I need to rehouse it and make it a burrow, but I'll wait for him to harden up a bit.
Of course I loaned my camera to a friend and then overnight two of my T's molted :wall:
Now I wonder how long it's going to take for the little guy to reach full size....I bought him from Botar last month..I wonder how long he's been hanging around over there..

Mine came from Botar too so they are probably sisters ;)

Very nice Brian! :D I have a little one that grows just as slow, he is only about 1", still has a long way to go.

Gorgeous Boehmei you got there, Schlyne.
Mine molted yesterday and is looking quite good.
The first pic is how "Bella" looked when I first got her/him 3 months ago. She was about 1.5" then. I didn't measure her today, but my guess is she's about 2.5" now and showing quite some colors. :D
Oh, she's molted 3 times in my care so far. She's like clock work so far. One molt per month. But I know she'll slow down as she gets bigger.

PS. I have NO clue yet whether Bella is a girl or not. I'm sure hoping though.

Ummm... Mine is under a 1/2 inch.... :(
So basically I can expect it to hit the 2" mark sometime in the year 2025?
I never realized they were such a slow grower. I cant wait for mine to show signs of color tho. Beautiful pics tho!!!

I forgot to mention, he is an assumption, with no substatial basis to it. Blade is too small for me to sex right now. I really hope it's female..since they seem to be slow growers? I don't really want to start out with a small sling and wait for it to grow up.
