Hi everyone...

Maybe you guys can tell me what this is... it's supposedly from Costa-Rica or there abouts, it came in with a plant....( :?, seems unlikely with such a wandering spider... :? )
I've tried to make shots of the eye-setting and color (the overexposed white picture), this is the best I can do...
It's body is about 2cm and stretched out total length is +/- 9cm

Hi,
I would say it's Cupiennius getazi.

Hi,

it could be a Getazi, but there are some more Cupiennius out of Costa Rica
There are:
- C. coccineus
- C. cubae
- C. foliatus
- C. getazi
- C. granadensis

For an Coccineus the color ist untyply, the other species i dont know (only Getazi).

Greetings,
Sebastian :D

What colour is the underside of the ceph (i.e. the sternum and coxa) if there much darker then the underside of the abdomen (even jet black) and there is no markings on the underside of the abdomen you mostly lightly have C.getazi (if you search online you should find ID keys for these).

Exactly like you said...jet black sternum and just slight markings on abdomen,
Thanx!
Are there any breeders in Europe that you guys know of? I'd love her to have a mate....

Hi,

there is a french breader who visits the westgerman fairs, but i donīt know his name. He breed C. salei and C. getazi. But i would ask him when i see him next time for you.

You can also look o terraristik.com if you find some offers there.

Greetings,
Sebastian :D
