Very successful hunt and destroy predators. Observing them must be great. Any breeding?

:drool: man those are just awesome!!!! ive been waiting for ever to get some of those,with no luck ofcourse(usa) :wall: truly amazing how these guys look,I WANT SOME! :razz: hopefully we can get some in the states(yeah right) :(

well they aren't easy to get a hold on here in Europe either!
Once a year (around March/April) 1 German dealer gets them in from SA.

and that's the only guy i know off who offers them,...
i allready made an order for some Anthia spec. this year {D :cool:

i also want to get the anthias too. :) i just love the african predatory beetles,quite long lived i hear.

What do ya think of these -> :D

I've heard from 2 year old Mantichora's :eek: quite longlived indeed compared to Flowerbeetles etc.. :rolleyes: ;)

Mantichora was sucessful breed in the zoo of Köln (Germany).

Yea, Anthia rules. I kept to couples of Anthia cinctipennis about two years. Many matings but no eggs :( .
