Been waiting a long time for this one.... premolt purgatory.
Made the molting bed roughly 45 minutes ago, (7:00 PM CST) tried to kick some hairs onto the bed. Tried because it was already very bald.
I will continue to update.

It's about time. :) I want her to be nice and big so she'll be ready for one of my males. I would suggest power feeding her. ;)

I'm thinking this is a male.
90% sure... crappy news. Of course, will know for sure when I see the skin.

That is bad news. I'm sure you'll check this molt. My fingers are crossed.

Ok, the pics suck but I wanted to finish the thread.
By 1 AM he had crawled out... a relatively fast molt it seemed.
This morning when I checked on it again, he had destoryed the skin.
So from the time he flipped over it was like 6 hours to finish?

6 hours and 11 minutes actually.
Not too shabby!
I really should have asked in my previous post.. where's the legspan at?

I'll let you know after its finished the stretch routine... hard to say right now. Initially, it looks as though it didn't put on as much size as I had anticipated, but its too early to say.

Perhaps it is overly invasive.... But if I am nearby I will pull the molt as soon the spider clears it. That way I can lay it out as in vivo and it will harden up that way! *Maybe* I am wicked, but they can then be left in a drawer in the office.......
