Thought I'd just share this pic I got a few days ago of a mantid lacewing. It's the first one I've ever seen in person... I love finding new inverts (and there's so many out there I'll never have seen them all ;)). These ones are pretty cool, the way their front legs have developed to be so similar to the true mantids! Divergent evolution in action :clap:

Great photo. Mantispidae are awesome neuropterans. Larvae of this family are parasitic of eggs of certain spiders.

That'd be a delicate job, laying your eggs on spider eggsacs! ;)
