this place was awsome when i first went there a couple years back and i've been shopping there alot. i think they have recently gone under new management, because i see a definate change in them. their inverts are just the same as always, trapped in deli cups with no nourishment or water i can see, and now the place is more cluttered. i wouldn't normally give them a negative as they are my favorite shop, i can understand the invert situation only because them seem to go through the store fast, usually sold within a few days. they also have great prices on them. but in the last few months they bought a whole load of AGB's so that a news network could show them on a "Fear Factor" spinoff. the pedes are now COVERED with harmful mites, mostly near mouthparts. there are at least 50 on some. i almost barfed and i have a really strong stomach. i don't think i'll ever see them the same way again. tramatized...

This is getting weird. It’s the second time in two days I have followed-up your posts.

Ummm...Pet Connection has been a horrible shop since I can remember. It's probably getting close to ten years now. They have violated almost every humane law in existence. A few years ago I went in their looking for a specific reptile (they didn't have it) around X-mas time only to find what looked like a puppy mill liquidation. Tons and tons of dogs and cats, many of which had diarrhea; being peddled for ridiculous sums. I can't say anything regarding the inverts as I hadn't picked up the hobby then; but I can say for certain that I wouldn't buy a life form from that place. Ever.

MEDIOCRE

It was alright, good selection, although their cleanliness is questionable. Fish tanks were dirty, has 7 2 foot long fishes in a tiny tank, all with battle scars. and most of their tarantulas were in small little cups for god knows how long. I just bought a pink-toe in a little cup cause i felt sorry for the guy. But yeah, never going there again until it's under new management.

This store rather frightens me. I admit the first thing I look at in a pet store is the birds, and I always hate to see the birds in this place. One time I went in and they had all these baby greencheek conures in a couple of glass aquariums at the front (I have a gcc myself) and they were WAY too young to be for sale, it was horrible. They do keep their T's in deli cups like Black Hawk says. The scariest thing I think they do though is they resell used cages and tanks etc, in 'as is' condition (with poop or whatever in them). I inquired into selling them some of my used cages and they say they don't *buy* them from customers, they only take them for free, then turn around and sell them. Yeah. :? Anyways, I only go there if I'm on the lookout for a specific product and can't find it anywhere else (I have gotten certain reptile supplies there, and a carrier for my bird, but I think that's all I've actually bought).
