here is my fattest T. shes soo fat she could hardly move, can someone identify this T?

this is the most frustrating of all my collection, hardly eat (I know its amazing), very very slow grower, shes only 1'' and never ever molted not even once, I had her since June 2004. I got her at a pet store labeled as Rio grande gold or A. moderatum, can some please identify or verify? thanks.

nope, she probly ate total of 10 cricket since I got her, that water dish is a bottle cap, so you can see how tiny she is.

That 2nd T does look like the juvenile ones I saw personally. However I don't have any right now. The first one... I can only guess also Aphonopelma sp.?

Hey Joe..
Judging by the photo, i`d say is an A. chalcodes. Aphonopelma spec. is known as a VERY! slow growing spec. I own an A.anax myself and it grows soooo slow.

-MattybI can't be sure, but it looks like it might be a pill bottle cap.

Its hard to tell what species it is but I do know that Mexican Blond Ts can store huge amounts of fat and then they go extended fasts.

Can do neither, but I can tell you it looks just like A. moderatum when it was that size. Mine got adult colors at about 2", and is probably between 2.5"-3" right now. Behaviour matches too. Mine hasn't eaten anything in at least a month, and it is still fat as hell. It's been around 5-6 months since the last molt. Hope this helps a little. Good luck with your little fatty. :)
