This Place is a JOKE!
staff act as if they are so concerned about the welfare of the animals but jut step in the store and the truth is known. :liar:

-the reptiles are unhealthy, underfed, & OVERPRICED!
-Staff (especially one in particular) gives out wrong care information
-ask what a "rat pup" is or a "pinky" and see what they say

To all reptile fans STAY AWAY :shame:

one employee in particular is very ignorant toward reptile keepers she thinks all reptile keepers will feed any mamals to pet reptiles.

I have been one of their loyal customers for years and today that PARTICULAR employee burned me.

TO ALL WHO READ THIS: go to Petco, the extra $.12 you save here is not worth the Hypocrisy :mad:

I live in the area and visited this store recently after hearing they take great care of their animals. I was greeted promptly by a girl smacking her gum while hanging over a cage like she rather be anywhere but there. When I asked where the T's were, she brought me to the reptile room where two ~5" rosehairs were being kept in the smallest KK with about 1/2" substrate and a hermit crab water pillow! I just shook my head and realized the only animals half cared for were the rodents. They did have some neat aquarium setups and decorations but that was the only thing I was somewhat impressed with.

On a positive note, I'm not sure who they go thru for selling pups but they seem to stick with one breed at a time and only a couple pups which seem pretty healthy. Likely not a BYB?

Fellow reptile fans.:) <edit> I go to Jackson pet store all the time and know all the employees and the owners personly. I know for a fact that they only want whats best for all their reptiles and other animal. They are defintly not underfed. I buy all my reptiles there even my trantula which at the time of purchase was not in the smallest kk avalible but in a good sized one. Also, those CRICKET PILLOWS (not for hermit crab which can't use them) are ideal for trantulas, which is what I use. And unlike petco, the employees actually know about the reptiles they house. To everyone in the Bradley area I strongly recomend staying away for petco, and to check out Jackson Fish and Pet supplies. They are much cheaper and alot more helpful than the people at petco. I won't go anywere else!:worship:
