Bryan Cronoss (Cronoss nick on here on arachnopet:) )
we met at the Michigan Reptile show this Saturday and he had very good looking speicemens of T's and when I say good looking I mean really, really nice and a high selection of them as well.
I think any kind of customer with any kind of preference would be able to get his/her T at Bryan's table.
Since I met him "live" he was also very good to deal with:)
Knew his T's that was a help for me as a rookie.

dealing with Bryan from Cronoss. I just purchased my son's first tarantula from Bryan and I found him to be very very helpful. I talked with him through messages here on the forum about his tarantulas, then on the phone. He was very helpful, willing to answer my questions, very knowledgable and very accomodating...instead of waiting for the next show, i was able to purchase the T now, which was a very big bonus...He also met with me around MY schedule, and I would gladly do business with him again.
We purchased a very nice looking, very healthy appearing and active Brazillian Black from him, and she hasnt been in her new home ten minutes and has already eaten two crickets.
=D I will definetly recommend Cronoss to others.

I met Bryan at the Midwest Reptile Show in Indianapolis, IN in 2002. I just saw him again on 1-26-03 at the same venue. He took the time "again" to answer questions about the T's he had and took a few out for me to hold. I am a pediatric nurse who works with handicapped children and I have many animals of my own that I use in therapy. I have a 4 yr old Veiled Cham., 2 cats, a black lab mix, and my buddy- Zeus- my 90 lb. Boxer. Also, my 11 yr old daughter is very involved with animals and has yet to show fear even with handling T's (I am so lucky!). Bryan seemed to explode with happiness when I told him I wanted to incorporate a "friendly T" into my collection and went out of his way to show us what not to get and what is just right. In the end he recommended a Pink Zebra Beauty. Unfortunately he had sold the large specimens but had a baby about 0.50cm long. I am sorry for babbling but when you find anything in this world as good as Bryan you should not keep it to yourself! I am sure there are other dealers out there who are very good at what they do, but I will forever on do business with no one but Bryan Cronoss!
(see bryan I told you I would give you the credit you deserved!):D

I'v got a L. parahybana that I bought from him at the Michigan reptile show and it is great. I am also getting a Heteroscroda maculata from him and thus far he has been very quick in replying to my emails and was very nice about every thing. All in all Bryan is a great seller and would reccomend him to anyone!!

Just got and order from Brian, everything came in excellent, packing, heating, communication, totally happy with the order and the dealings with Brian. One of the t's passed away right after shipment, told him about it, not asking for a replacement or anything, just letting him know through emails and he offered a replacement without me asking for one, I was happy enough with the other T's that I passed.
He will be getting more of my hard earned money in the future.

As many of you know, I won the Arachnocontest "Cronograms", for which the prize was an A. versicolor sling. The sling initially arrived very promptly, very well-packed, but cool... we thought it must've been a bum heat pack... anyway, later that week, the sling molted, and long story short, it went very badly. One leg was stuck, and had to be manually assisted.... anyway, after I notified Bryan it died, I considered it case closed. I wasn't expecting any replacement action on his part, because it was a week later, and not a DOA... also, it was molt-related, and totally not his fault.
Anyway, the very next email I get from Bryan said simply "I'm sending you another versi sling tomorrow, I can't let your first T experience end like this. Don't try to argue... :)"
I responded and asked if I could Paypal him a bit of extra money, and upgrade to a 2.5" G. pulchra, and if that might be a better first T for me just starting out. He agreed that the pulchra would probably be a better first species, as the avics are tricky as slings, and the new pulchra arrived today! It's in great shape, and the packing, shipping, and service in general was top-notch. This pulchra is the picture of health, and I can't wait to get her home. :)
I would definitely Recommend Bryan Cronoss. :)

Hi yes bryan knows what hes doing the packing job was great on the greenbottle blue female i got from him,and the pink zebra sling who just moulted,on A versicolor i have 12 of them and one adult female and one new sling versicolor, the trick with them as slings is moisture,i i use a double size specimen vial with fir wood chips in the bottom,i put 1/2 teasppon of water in it,and wait till the wood absorbs it,the vial is then set on top of a flourescent light fixture that is on top of one of my larger tanks, the warmth from this causes the wood to release moisture into the air inside the tube as vapor which condenses on the side facing the fixture, water warmth humidity all in one,i feed them drosophila until about a 1 !/2 inch in size, havent lost one yet.ive heard they are difficult to keep but i havent experienced that just the opposite, but bryan definately has a thumbs up from me,very prompt service good specimens and well packed.

Two weeks ago on a thursday evening I ordered an adult female C. fasciatum, subadult male C. fasciatum, and Anuroctonus Phaey...t..uh..mafia scorpion from Bryan. Since the order was placed around 9pm on a thursday, Bryan said he would ship out on Monday, which made perfect sense to me.
Monday, I received an email with my tracking number from Airborne Express, with a bit of a dishearting note from Bryan. He had accidentally broken one of the legs on the adult female C. fasciatum while packing for shipment. To make up for it, he'd added another spiderling freebie. Since he assured me it was a clean break, and sealed, I was not too worried about it. About an hour later, I recieved another email from Bryan titled 'Oh S**t!'. He told me he had forgotten to ship the scorpion, and would send it out on thursday, with another freebie, on the same day he would be sending my friend in VA (a past customer) a free versicolor for mothers day. (He agreed to do this last gesture before his business with me was even agreed upon! )
Well, things got worse. However, the fault lay entirely with Airborne Express, who somehow screwed up and shipped my scorp and third freebie to FLORIDA, claiming it lost for almost four days. This afternoon I called and they said they had scheduled it for delivery, so I stopped delivery and went and picked it up at the Chicago hub myself. When I got home, I unpacked the two inverts without expecting much (since they had been lost between here and Michigan.. not exactly invert friendly weather) However, despite five days of transit, both were in good shape when I opened it up. Bryan had packed them pretty darn good, and perhaps their Florida vacation kept em nice and hot on the way back.
So, in the end, All of my purchase arrived safe and sound. Krystal got a free versicolor, and I wound up with as many freebies as I did purchased inverts. Bryan's constant checking up on the situation, countless IM conversations, and doing everything he could has made me consider him a top-notch dealer. I understand mistakes happen, and do not fault him in any way for it (Especially once I saw that adult female C. fasciatum MOVE.. what a fireball). I'd reccommend him to anyone else, and would purchase from him again.

Excellent service from Bryan! Answered all my questions & is a very pleasant man to talk with on the phone. Very easy to talk with, as if you had known him for years. He also, really, has the welfare of his animals in mind in regards to shipping. I received my almost 3" juvie female G. pulchra on Tues 1-13-04 after him having to check out weather on his end & my end for a week.
Packing was excellent & with a bit of a "different twist" from other dealers. (Am not going to give it away here - LOLOL) Quite efficient & it causes minimal stress to the T.
I think his selection is great & his animals are very healthy looking & well fed! He had what I wanted!
I believe his prices to be fair & above reproach. Having taken a look at his other stock, I still come away with the same impression. Excellent pricing!
This was my first time dealing with Bryan as he had the T that I had been looking for as far as gender, size & price. He is a very approachable, personable & T knowledgeable person.
I recommend him highly & without reservation!:D

After first speaking to Brian I realized he knew his "bugs." I recently purchased a Heteroscodra maculata from him and it is in perfect condition. Two Positive Transactions !
Several months ago I bumped into the Cronoss website, and 'took a chance' and bought a large female L parahybana, and a large H aureopilosum. They were shipped immediately, and arrived in excellent condition. That Lasiadora is now my favorite T, out of about 50 I keep. It's healthy, huge, and has a great personality.
Based upon that positive experience, I recently ordered several hundred dollars worth of T's from Bryan. There was a slight "mix up" with one of the bugs, which I reported to Bryan as they were in transport to my destination. Bryan promptly communicated with me, and explained how he would take care of the mix up. The deal was taken care of in a timely manner, with excellent communication all the way.
It doesn't get any better than that!!

NEUTRAL
I've dealt with Bryan before and on my previous encounters he was not only very quick at getting me the order I placed, but the box was packed exceptionally well and had precisely what I ordered and the exact sizes he said he had. This last time however was strange to me since I was so confident I could get what I needed and on time, but several things happened. First off Bryan told me there was some kind of huge funeral in his town, two cops got killed apparently, and the whole city was shut down, even the post offices; somewhat believeable. Next he told me it wouldn't have mattered anyway since the deathstalker I ordered had babies, and one of the spiders, a T. blondi, had just molted that day as well; believeable, but an extraordinary coincidence. I had complete faith in Bryan that he would work it all out and get me what I ordered within a day or two. We talked on the phone Friday about the funeral and stuff but he said that he would get more deathstalkers in Tuesday. I told him I was fine with waiting abother couple days so long as I got what I wanted, though I was getting somewhat impatient. On Tuesday I called him and he told me he had shipped the box but had sent it in a simple styrofoam cooler and that it had broken open in Indiana somewhere; not so believeable. He said he would have the contents of the cooler hopefully within a few days and would then ship them to me immediately. My patience was growing thin at this point but I gave it one last shot and said that if he could get it to me by the end of the week all was well. I never got an e-mail back from him about those scorps and spiders and never got to talk to him since then, though I have tried several times. I opted to pay with a C.O.D. because of the assurance of getting my box, and him getting his money, so I never lost money on the endeavor, just time. If he sends me my things I'll be more than happy to continue to buy from him, it was just dissapointing to see a very good supplier, one with whom I've had exceptional experiences with before, putter out. Like I said, I want to continue to do business with him, but I'm wondering if he has changed his tactics a bit. :?

What T.J. did'nt Tell you is that He wanted the things he ordered at wholesale.I don't usally Sell wholesale. And he wanted me to send his order C.O.D. Wich is something else I don't usally do.
But i tried to do this for him because he has been a customer in the past. When I send things C.O.D. I have to wait like 30 days to get my money.
I sent his order and the post office broke the box open and saw what was inside. They called me to tell me what happened. They were not very happy.I did not get the inverts back for 4 days.
They were all dead.
I took a huge loss trying to do someone a favor. Also i could be fined for sending venomous inverts in the mail.
I am out the inverts my shipping cost and maybe more.
So I am sorry you did'nt get what you ordered, but it's not like you paid for it first. You did not have any losses in this deal of money or inverts.

I sympathize with Bryan's loss, but I didn't get what I needed at the time, so both of us took a hit on this. the box could have broken open in Indiana, I believe that, but the things before that, such as the city-wide funeral, the molting, the deathstalker having babies, it was all just too many coincidences for me to take seriously. By all means it could have certainly happened though, I just needed to get my stuff sooner. I wanted those things, I was prepared to pay, he would have gotten his money sooner than 30 days, it's more like 2 or 3. I just trusted that I would get my things on time, it took like 3 weeks for me to finally give up, you can't just blaim that on the postal incident. I said I wanted to order from Bryan again, I said I still believe he is a good invert supplier, this time was just a little hiccup, I understand that. It was not just your loss is all I'm trying to prove Bryan, I lost time and money waiting for those things. No hard feelings.

I did my first deal with Bryan Wednesday night around 10 PM. I told him that I needed T's sent out the next day to arrive on Friday and he assured me it would be no problem whatsoever. I told him the T's I wanted and paid by PayPal that same night.
True to his word, Bryan sent the T's out Thursday afternoon and gave me a tracking number Thursday night. The little guys arrived safe and sound on Friday midday. All healthy and moving around ready to be in their new home.
Bryan sent healthy T's, on time, with good packaging. He also took time out to converse with me through instant messenger about the tarantula business in general and how I could work towards becoming a dealer down the road. All in all, the experience was superb and I would recommend Bryan Cronoss to new hobbyists as well as the veterans. Very good guy that I look forward to doing business with again.
Thanks Bryan!
