Smallest Beetle in the World?

Sorry I don't have a photo handy, but yesteday, I found what appears to be some kind of beetle. It's about the size of a 1/8 inch spiderling.

It's grey, and has a brown band that runs horizontally behind its head. Does anyone know what it might be?

I'll probably take it to the ATS thingy and see if anyone else knows. I never knew beetles could be so small (assuming it actually IS a beetle). ;)

If you are looking for really small beetles type "Ptiliidae" in google :)
These are the smallest beetles in the world (only some insects belonging to order Hymenoptera are smaller).

I found a small black beetle last week. it was about half the size of a pinhead. then I lost it. I didn't even try to find it again lol
