Hi.
Yes this project is a major accomplishment for the spider genera north of Mexico. With over 40 professional arachnologist this book will be good as it gets to date. I have the third version by the late Vincent Roth and signed by him at the AAS 96 conference. The third version has references which one will need to consult if an species level identification is to be pursued. Reading through the keys at the family and genus level is an accomplishment itself outside of obtaining species literature.
For any spider enthusiasts this new manual will be worth the price and to place in the book shelf along side the Biology of Spiders by R.F. Foelix, Spiders: Webs, Behavior, and Evolution edited by W.A. Shear and Kaston's old manual on How to Know the Spiders.
Kind Regards.
I've been waiting for that to come out!
