I really enjoyed this experience! I almost missed it! I came into the room at exactly the right time! The pics are in order from bottom to top.

Thanks guys. Actually, I watched him search for her for hours, and he finally found her burrow and went inside, they faced each other and I waited and waited, finally I left the room to go eat, came back awhile later, and they were in this position, and I was just in time :)

Of course ill post updates :D

unfortunetly she consumed the male last night :( But atleast I think they mated a few times, once for sure. Poor lil guy. Hopefully some eggs will come of it.

I read you keep your P Murinus(RCF) ina burrowing setup.Did you know that this colour form is actually suppose to be arboreal! ;-)

actually its a burrow/arboreal setup, you can see the side of the tank that has the limbs. Though they've preferred burrowing so far, she's always down in the burrow.

My murinus (also red colour form) is a burrower too. It has an underground burrow and a part above ground.

Congrats, I will be experiencing the same(hopefully) in a few days when my female comes in from Scott's. I think she got lost in shipping though, as she was suppose to be here yesterday at 11am. Here it is a day later at 4pm and no P murinus.......Maybe tomorrow. Again CONGRATULATIONS!!!

As far as I know P. murinus is a burrower. Colour forms are no new spiders at all, else they would get their own name. ;-) So yes, every P. murinus behaves the same way.
They do choose other places to hide if there is no burrow available though, and there are reports of P. murinus staying away from the ground at all.
But after all, they are a burrowing species.
