Does anyone have any luck breeding the Mombo Assassins? I bought a group of 7 and I'm down to 2 (after about 3 months).

My setup:

- 10 gallon w/ sliding screen lid

- 1/2" of peat/soil mixture

- Multiple chuncks of driftwood for hiding spots with a few thin branches (for molting/feeding off of).

- Shallow water dish with rocks in it.

I mist the tank about twice a week.... they are fed mainly crickets (some lobster roaches).... The soil is drying out between mistings...never really damp though (is that my problem)?

ANYONE KNOW WHERE I"M GOING WRONG? I though the soil would be better than the papertowels so the eggs could hatch on their own... Do I need to switch to papertowels and actually look for the eggs every few days and incubate them seperately? Any tips on that?

I keep the tank totaly dry and from time to time I put the females in a seperate box with moist peat in order to give birth and get the eggs hatch.

Needless to say that they keep producing eggs in the dry tank too but ofcourse they never pop-up.
