I borrowed a microscope from work and looked at a few molts this afternoon. It's a little addictive to start looking at this stuff under a microscope. I started looking and the next thing I knew an hour had gone by. :)

Heh, no. :)
It belongs to the science department at my school. I've been playing around with it to see how I want to use it this year.

Ah! I think you've already found out how you wanna use it :D
I would have had a shock if you'd gotten yourself one of those advanced microscopes with photo option... (I guess I'd then also have wanted to become a teacher in the US :D )

Yes. :)
Typically, the 6th grade (which I teach) only uses the Brock Microscopes. However, since they're (the students) going to be examining the molts of N. chromatus this year for the project we're doing, I wanted to use a real microscope. This one has two settings, 10x and 30x (total magnification).

Haha! Trust me - we don't make enough to buy one. ;) I took these just by putting my camera up to the eyepiece of the microscope.
