Just caught the strangest looking spider outside the workshop. Looks like some kind of black crab spider. Ovoid flat abdomen, total body length about 3/4 of an inch. Long two front pairs of legs, with the second pair being about half the thickness of all the rest. Rear pairs of legs are short and thick set. At first I thought it was a garden spider that had been trodden on..... until it tried to run away from me ....... sideways!
