That isn't an A. seemani from what I can see, and it also looks like a mature male. Probably not the owners fault it is skinny. It is labeled as T.Cyaneum or Hommoeoma sp.Blue. The actual A. seemani pictured is fat and healthy looking. But I agree the H. lividum needs more dirt, but it's possible this is a temporary enclosure? The post does say he was doing tank cleaning.

Very nice spiders!

Is the "T. cyaneum" a mature male? Looks it... if so find a mate for him, these are very uncommonly bred in captivity.

Also, in case your interested, the name "Thrixopelma cyaneum" should be considered nomen nudum... basically it's no good... Schmidt (the person who described it as such) didn't follow the rules of the ICZN when describing it. Not sure what genus it will even end up in.

Yes he's a mature male, but i have yet to find an available female anywhere near me. Also have a mature male L.Parahybana, B.Vagans, P.Cancerides, and i think i have a male P.Fasciata now as well.

Sorry...didn't mean to correct you. I've never seen H. Hystocrates and apparrently H. Hurcules is extremely so that leaves H. Crassipes or H. Gigas. I haven't seen anyone on the boards post pics of H. Crassipes (although I've heard that quite a few H. Gigas are actually H. Crassipes :? ) so I saw the genus name Hystocrates and assumed that Gigas followed it.

In shorter terms, I didn't pay too much attention to the name.
