That is a long-jawed orbweaver, Tetrognathus sp.

Don't know what it is, but that's an evil lookin spider! Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alleyway with a purse full of insects.....geesh! {D

A Tetrognathus sp., I see these alot when I go fishing, they make orb webs in the high grasses and cattails around waterways.

should be a male of Tetragnatha spp.

That thing in friggin awesome. I wish Ts had the sideworking fangs like spiders.
There are LOTS of long-jawed orb weavers around here, especially near lakes and rivers but inland as well. Heres a pic of a couple mating and a pic of one having a big meal...
