Another wacky poll from Pennywise the Dancing Clown. I will be glad to accept help with this from Admin or Members. It seems to me that even if you keep both terrestrial and arboreal spiders that you would favor one or the other so ladies and gentlemen make your pick; Terrestrial or Arboreal?

PLEASE VOTE NOW!!!

Somehow I feel warmer towards arboreals, they are kinda cuter, but the terrestrials are cooler... don't know. I pick terrestrial for now...

For now terrestrial. I can usually see more of them than arboreals.

I'm gonna have to go arboreal on this one. I'm not gonna lie, the tall cages full of foliage and webbing kind of turn me on, especially if there is a pokie hiding somewhere in there!

I love Avics and just about one of each, but other than that I'd say terrestrial.

I like both, but I like beautiful Ts and most of the pretty Ts happened to be aboreal, they are a little bit harder to keep but at the same time, I like the challenge. and yes, a nice setup folliage aboreal cage are nice to look at, and seeing Ts walked around the branches to hunt for prey are fun too watch.

Tough choice. As I'm sitting here, my 3 inch P.fasciata is busy constructing a nice web curtain. Must want some privacy. :D So for now I'm leaning towards arboreal. Okay, now my C. fasciatum just ambushed a cricket from it's burrow, pretty cool  So now I'm leaning towards terrestrial. Can't we just call it a draw and like both for their incredible attributes?

I'd have to say arboreal. I'm a big fan of the Psalmo's and many of the Poecilotheria's. By the way, I like your quote, "They all float down here". I go around saying "Hiya Georgie".

Heh, this poll is like asking a parent if they have a favorite child. Still, I guess if I was on a deserted island and could only keep one kind with me I'd go with arboreals. ;)

I like arboreal animals in general so its no surprise that arboreal tarantulas are my favorite.

As far as NW T's go definitely arboreals. I enjoy both terrestrial and arboreal OW spiders.

I prefer the arboreals over the terrestrials. I do like the Brachys and some of the Grams and enjoy keeping them. I concentrate on the Avics & Poecs and have just started Psalmos.

I like Arboreal because of the coloration.

I like Terrestrial because of the size.

I like Burrowers because of their architectural abilities.

I like all tarantulas.

I appreciate the aesthetic qualities of the arboreals, but personally I prefer big, stout and hairy T's. So it's terrestrials for me.

I love my avics, but then again my B.smithi sling is just the cutest thing going. I appreciate the qualities of each. But,.since I have way more aboreals I will have to vote aboreal

Impossible to answer. Take for instance Chilobrachys andersoni, is it terrestrial or arboreal? ;) But I think i can refrase and answer otherwise. I like longlegged species and they are often found in trees. :D

I aggree, I just love large, hairy, heavy bodied T's. So Im gonna have to go with terrestrials (although I absolutly LOVE pokies and psalmo's).

I vote for terrestrials for right now. I only have 2 arboreals and they always hide in their webs, I almost never see them. My terrestrials are almost always visible.

Hallo,

I haven't voted, I'm not fixed !
I love the terrestrial and aboreal T's ;)

What is with the cave living T's like Haplopelma, Citharischius or Megaphobema

[Old World] Arboreals hold all the cards for me -behavior, aesthetics, and variety.

Boy, this was a tough decision. We love both for many reasons. We tend to love the colors of the arboreal, but we really like the big, chunky terrestrials. We have blondis, parahybanas and a king baboon. We also have avicularias and pokies...

We voted for terrestrials, but maybe tomorrow we might feel a smidgen more love for the arboreals.

Terrestrials. All the way.
