One of my students brought in their Skeletor figure they got a McDonald's a few years back. I thought that it would make a nice "fixture" to Skeletor's tank. What do you think?

that does look pretty unique.. i have some plastic palm trees in my A. versicolor enclosure, or i did at one time.. i recently re-housed it into someting a little smaller.

The tank was really bare when I got it, so I am trying to add a little something to it. I have been keeping a steady eye open for limbs to put in the tank, but nothing has caught my eyes yet.
I plan on making it a very nice environment for the little guy/girl.

Id have painted the Skeletor in stone colours and made the whole tank look like Snake mountain with the stone painted figure as part of a temple to Skeletor with real animal bones (boiled of course) and maybe a Evil Lin action figure worshiping the idol.
Would work well for a semi arboreal like P.murinus or one of andersoni group Chilobrachys.sp.
A lot of work really but that way you could have the "Skeletor theme" but look natural (so long as you don't put the unpainted Evil Lin in there).

pretty sweet man.
I've always tried to be kind of creative with some of my T's enclosures, my female G. Rosea loves her leggo house. I did have a micro machines army truck with her, but she put a web matt over it so you chouldn't even see it. I put a toy tractor in with her for a while too. and some small pirates.
OH, and by the way,
WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!
you are in good hands now :-)

Cool. I haven't seen masters of the universe figures in a long time. Now you need a tank with He-Man and a green bottle blue T named Cringer. ;)
Personally I have always wanted to get a Barbie Fairytopia doll and put it in a tank with a heavy webber, but then again I am pretty twisted. :wicked:
Nice set-up, Has anyone ever seen CKY 4?

As soon as I saw this thread I thought what a really fantastic idea and how fun it would be for the spiders while at the same time very natural looking of course....................no honest I really did.
just look at the really creative ideas I came up with in just 5 minutes of hard thought and labor! :)
The driving frog theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/frogT.jpg
The base playing duck theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/musicT.jpg
The shrek theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/ShreckT.jpg
The Starwars theme (my fav...well it would be wouldn't it ;) )
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/StawwarsT.jpg
And well it is almost that time of year again the Xmas theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/xmasT.jpg
I think you will agree that this is just the sort of thing tarantulas need and it makes the terrariums look really cool. I can't believe we as spider keepers have not come up with this before as it is bound to help out with the spiders breeding etc, as they will be always in such a good mood with all those toys to play with. ;)
That Skelator would bring a good price on ebay

The really natural dolphin theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/DolphinT.jpg
A great sheep theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/SheepT.jpg
Or even this kungfu hamster theme is your thing (this would be good for asian spiders ;) )
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/kungfuhamsterT.jpg
Or if Africa is your thing the Zulu warrior theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/ZuluT.jpg
or even the Masai warrior theme
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v19/tescos/masaiT.jpg

Don't take it too seriously :)
I guess your T doesn't mind sharing its tank with its namesake and if it fits your idea of a theme then everything is good right? :)
So is he glued to the thingie?

I dont much seriously anyways, but when an autistic student brings you one of their own toys and asks you to put it in the tank, i would like to see you refuse!
I did explain to him that i would have to take it down when i fix the rest of the tank...

Love it am I ment to feel bad now? :?
Hang on though something doesn't add up here because in you first post you say-
One of my students brought in their Skeletor figure they got a McDonald's a few years back
So this is an old pic? or did you wait all these years to make this poor autistic student happy by adding it to the set up? now that is really mean to keep him hanging on like this!
But then you go on to say this....
I thought that it would make a nice "fixture" to Skeletor's tank. What do you think?
So who's idea was it the kids or your own?
I sense sarcasm......
Yep you sence right but what wonderful ideas I have shared eh.
Don't let Tescos get to you
No don't I am really not worth it. ;)
I think he just has too much time on his hands.
Got that dam right! ;)
Quite knowledgable when he wants to be.

If you makes you feel any better, he made me into a pig...
And what a pretty pig it was too. {D Come on you can't say you never enjoyed that. :) :p
Nah, sorry skeletor don't be offended or hurt by my comments as they don't mean jack. Put what you want in with your spiders makes no odds to me except by giving me one of my sad laughs. :) Cheers bud

I am a special education teacher -- therefore i teach children with special needs. about 2 years ago, mcdonalds released masters of the universe figures in their happy meals and he brought this figure to me before class this morning. he asked if i would put it in the tank since our T's name is skeletor and i agreed cause i thought that it would be "cute".
hope that clears things up a bit for ya! ;P
comments are like <EDIT> you know, everyone has one!! :wicked:
however i did like you star wars scene :worship:
