Hi everyone
Has anyone EVER heard of a red widow tarantula? I did a search but came up with nothing
If there were such a t I would love to see pics of one. Or should a tell my source that he’s full of it

I have never heard of such a tarantula, but then again common names are pretty worthless. However, I would suspect that your friend doesn't know what he is talking about.

not a T, but a true spider. Latrodectus bishopi.

they only have like 3 known places to find them... all in FL palmetto scrubs.

I'd say tell your source that he's full of it. Then smack him in the face just for good measure.
