Hey,
some very strange spiders youīve got there.
The second one seems to be a sparassid (eye-pattern) of some kind, maybe not even an adult.
To the first one, iīve never seen something like this. While the body reminds me on some kind of huntsman the long spinnerets just donīt fit.
Perhaps it might help to know where youīre located...

my guess for the second is also a sling.. haha and also will the leg regenerate? seems that oits a 7 legged spider. im from singapore by the way? teh 1st one caught it near a pond.. on the rocks surroundung the pong had it for quite some while though. was hoping the secnod pic is a sling, cos that means ot will grow till Quite big haha>>

Hi again,
guess itīs a sling, otherwise the eye-body ratio would be quite strange. If itīs indeed a sling the leg will regenerate with the next molts.
The first one was found along a pond? Before i noticed the long spinnerets my first guess would have been something like Trechalea. If itīs found in Singapore how about Thalassius? I havenīt ever seen such a specimen in "real-life", but theyīre said to grow quite big and as Ancylometes theyīre half-aquatic living... ?

Whoa,
that second shot is great!
Just because she built a sac doesnīt necessarily mean sheīll die. Depends on her age, was it her first sac or the fourth, fifth? Generally spoken, if itīs her first, i donīt think sheīll die too soon. In that case you better prepare for some follow-up sacs to be build.
If itīs already her XXth sac it may well be that sheīs soon gonna die.
However, hard to say with a wild-caught specimen...

Hmm,
being skinny is pretty normal if sheīs built a sac.
Being not hungry is a different story... How long ago has the sac been built? Is she still guarding it? When sheīs still guarding it, itīs ok that she isnīt accepting any food.
If the sacs built some time ago and the slings hatched already, she should be very hungry... If that case should be true, not eating could indeed be a sign of near death... Thatīs how it went with one of my malaysian Heteropodas, built a sac, some time later destroyed it, didnīt accept any prey, died. :(
Sorry, i donīt have any messenger programs :shame:

guess it should be closer to the first link that you have but the size mention there does not match, haha my specimen is about 20mm but there it stated that female(bidder one) only 8.5-10 mm. unless thats wthout the legs? :?

the 8.5-10 mm refers to the body length. Is your 20mm total length?

yes haha the total length.. ok guess im wrong hahahah! how do people usual measure length of spiders? body length without legs?

if, for true spiders, its the same as tarantulas, you measure from the back leg to the front.
Hersiliid spider, giveaway is the third pair of short legs , spinnerettes also.....
From what I know anyway
