View Full Version : I dropped my enclosure

The enclosure I keep my Florida Huntsman Spider in slipped out of my hands after I placed a cricket inside :8o

I caught it before it fell to the floor, but the water spilled, the cork bark and substrate are a mess. :wall:

The spider jumped to the lid unharmed. Then less than a minute later the spider grabbed the cricket even though her home is a mess!

I'm going to let her eat in peace. Tomorrow I have to deal with a lightning fast spider as I get the substate back on the bottom of the enclosure, and straighten the cork bark. I'm mad at myself  but I'm glad she's not hurt.

Whew, I opened the thread expecting something bad. I'm happy that your spider is fine.

Thanks, from the looks of things now it was more tramatic for me than it was for her. She survived a major earthquake. Maybe that's why they've been around over 300 million years.

Her jump to the lid just in the nick of time saved her from being buried in substrate. Something you would expect to see in a Spider-Man movie. Spiders are way cool.
