can someone tell me how to access the chat room through mozzilla?

If you're using the full version of mozilla you can use chatzilla which is included in that package. It is a little cZ down just above the start menu button on a typical desktop.

from there you need to connect to chat.freenode.net

then onto #arachnochat

i started using chat.freenode.net when freenode was having issues and you coudn't connect on via irc.freenode.net (or i couldn't at least).

Are you still having problems? Are you using the Java chat? Are you logged into the site when you try to go in? can you get into the chat if you're not signed into the site?

Things are working now, thanks. :) Biledrunk helped me out. Not sure what the problem was, but rebooting seems to have fixed it.

GRRRRRRRRR and it's quite frustrating!!!! Trying to get my mac up and running...for "important" things like arachnochat.....

Downloaded "snak", with is the chat program for mac. I can't "open chat with
irc" as it says it is not recongnized be "safari"(macs default browser). I can open arachnochat in snak and it says i'm connected...but i am only connected to a very lonely channel where only *I* exist.
was able to use java, but now although i am "recognized" and IDENTIFIED I cannot get in.

Terri, download Mozilla web browser here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/ (YEs there is one that is for Mac ;) ) it comes complete with chatzilla which is an IRC client.

ok i'm having troubles hooking into the chat with Javachat, so i'm trying to set up my IRC...but it says i need to be identified to join the channel, how do i get identified? also it wants me to creat my username online but it doen't tell me a spot to do so.

Chat just booted everybody and said screw you guys.Message says arachnochat cannot be connected to,cannot send to arachnochat.Right before that some type of attack message came up but was gone too fast for me to read all it said.Are we under attack?:eek:**Also no one can read what anyone is typing out but they are there now**.update ** European hub problem message came up they are working on it.
