I saw this spider running across the flor in the corner of my eye, quickly grabbed a clear DVDR cylinder/tower found and trapped it. got a few nice pictures. at first glance it looked like Brown Recluse because of the body style.. its not BR, because it has only one set of eyes. and does not have that (wolf spider like) fiddle shaped center stripe on the carpace. also has fairly large pedepalps located fairly close together compared to BR and most other spiders. here are the pics........ anyone got an idea? .................oh yeah it has about 3.5" legspan, probably .5" body length.

It looks like a male Kukulcania hibernalis "southern house spider." Go here for confirmation:

Very nice. I think it just might be looks identical.... I am in NM which is a southern state, but... it is very dry here. 10% humidity. the site says they like humidity. kinda weird... but I think it is the same species. thanks.

Hmm... Arachnids are so hard to ID. BTW. That is no Brown Recluse.

Since I know he is not dangerous I let him go. I'm sure its a male insearch of a female as females dont leave the web often. I thought about releasing him in my room... for insect patrol.... but I like wolf spiders more.
