Does anyone keep these? could anyone give me any information on them, what they're like to keep, difficulty of breeding them in captivity etc?..
I have searched for information on search engines for these and have found very little info on them

Thanks.

I don't know much about mites, but here we find velvet mites quite regularly, and I must tell you its quite a gorgeous animal. Here they look like they have been wrapped in red velvet. Very pretty and very different.

Dinothrombium sp.

They are quite attravtive, but what I read is that they surface for the emergence of winged termites, feed, mate, lay eggs and return to the underground.
