Don't really know. When the rock was flipped it had some kind of funnel burrow. So i guess it's a funnel web..

I suppose you mean Euagrus?

Euagrus is a diplurid spider and not a funnel-web.

I guess I do mean Euagrus...And thank you for correcting me on what it was...My book on Texas Arachnids says Dipluridae are funnel webs.

Jonathan's link also says they're funnel webs.

Ok, I think I have the species down. It's E. chisoesus since there's only 2 species of Euagrus in TX and it described the other as having yellow on it.

Well ok, yes, the word "funnel-web" is often used for diplurids aswell and not only some of the hexathelid genera.

Nice, Canth. What's the "potency" of their venom. I know very little about funnel webs, and I have some reservations about aquiring any.

from what i have read their venom shouldn't be anything special against humans

Well..I found one myself but it died. I was with Mike (H. cyaneus) and he found this one. So I was there when it was found...We were hoping they were all Theraphosid slings...lol.
